Our Beloved Chairperson Madam eulogized

our Principal Madam in the presence of the

Academic leadership team for having

received the prestigious Top 20 influential

Women Educators in Tamil Nadu award by

ULektz Wall of Fame for demonstrating

exemplary contributions in bringing a positive

impact in the Higher Education.

We are happy to share that our beloved Principal Madam Dr.J.Janet is

conferred with „Top 20 influential Women Educators in Tamil Nadu‟ award by

ULektz Wall of Fame for demonstrating exemplary contributions in bringing a

positive impact in the Higher Education. Dr.J.Janet is the only Principal of a

Self Financing Private Engineering College to have secured this top

honour amongst the recipients who are women Vice-Chancellors of State

Universities and eminent academicians.

The award was bestowed for spearheading the National Rankings of Institution

such as NIRF, ARIAA and SWACHCHATA, procuring 6.77 Crores worth

Research grants through diverse government schemes, effective hosting of

Smart India Hackathon(SIH) consecutively for 3 times and talent nurturing of

students towards Hackathons in National and International events,

establishment of Centres of Excellence in emerging technologies such as Full

stack programming and Big Data and vibrant Industry-Academia interfaces.

The award was announced by the prestigious EdTech SaaS of AEL Data

Services, an ITES Company exclusively catering to Digital learning in Higher

education.

ULektz AWARD 2019 SKCET

A meeting was convened by Principal Madam with Heads of departments to discuss

progress on National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).

INSTITUTIONAL PLENUM SKCET

The Inter-department experts verified the EEE department files and shared their

valuable suggestions for the enhancement of the NBA files for the upcoming audit.

NBA – INTERNAL AUDIT EEE

Innovative Club of SHA organized a Mini Project Expo. The First year students

enthusiastically exhibited their projects like Electronic Device detector, Smart

Home Automation, STEM, Drone, WiFi Jammer etc and demonstrated it with a

great zeal.

FACULTY CERTIFICATION CSE & MECH

Ms.K.Devipriya, Assistant Professor, CSE has successfully completed

“Programming Fundamentals”, an online non-credit course authorized by Duke

University and offered through Coursera.

Dr.C.Thirumarai selvi, Department of ECE has completed an online certification

course on “ Fundamentals of Digital Image and video processing”, a 12 week

course offered by Coursera and authorized by North western University.

WEB TOOLS SKCET

Mr.S.Gobhinath, Department of EEE attended the IISF – Young Scientists Conference

as a part of International Science Festival (IISF) 2019 held at Kolkata and had an

interaction with Dr.Shekhar Mande Director, CSIR.

Mrs. Janeera.D.A of ECE department has published a book on "VLSI Design" through

ARS Publications, Chennai (ISBN number: 978-93-87255-66-1). Her previous book on

VLSI Design has sold over 2000 copies all over Tamil Nadu.

MECH R&D: FACULTY JOURNAL PUBLICATION

Mr. V Karthickeyan of Mechanical Engineering Department has published a

paper titled “Effect of combustion chamber bowl geometry modification on

engine performance, combustion and emission characteristics of biodiesel

fuelled diesel engine with its energy and exergy analysis” in the Journal of

Elsevier-Energy. It is SCI and Scopus Indexed with an Impact factor of 5.537.

Mr. V Karthickeyan of Mechanical Engineering Department has published a

paper titled “Effect of premixed injection of methanol/n-pentanol in safflower

biodiesel fuelled CI engine” in the Journal of Elsevier-Fuel. It is SCI and

Scopus Indexed with an Impact factor of 5.128.
