Successful Aerospace missions which accomplished the required performance were every time borne out of Safety and Reliability with Quality as the prime over r i d i n g p r e - r e q u i s i t e . C o n t i n u a l improvement is maintained by periodic review /evaluation of the effectiveness of both corrective actions and risk mitigation schemes, keeping pace with the change of times and scientific and technological a d v a n c e m e n t s . O u r a e r o s p a c e organisations and personnel have grown and gained international reputation. In this
pursuit, we have learnt a lot of lessons and our processes have improved by incorporating best practices which were crystallized out of different challenging missions. We need to document and share these best practices and lessons learnt,

SAQR is a registered professional society formed in 2002 to share and propagate the best quality and reliability practices among Indian aerospace entities. It has individual and corporate members from DRDO, ISRO, HAL, BEL, NAL, ADA, Academic Institutions and private industries. It has 15 corporate members and 417 individual members. President of SAQR is Dr. C P Ramanarayanan, Distinguished Scientist and CCR&D (HR), DRDO HQ, New Delhi. Secretariat of SAQR is at Gas Turbine Research Establishment, DRDO, C V Raman Nagar, Bengaluru-560093, Karnataka, India.
VSSC at Thiruvananthapuram is the mother centre of ISRO, where the design and development activities of satellite launch vehicles and sounding rockets are carried out and made ready for launch operations.
