What led to battleThe North wanted the southern port to

complete the Anaconda Plan.Once the plan is complete the south will be

divided into 2 main parts.

The confederates new the land well but was at a disadvantage in the number of soldiers.

The Union started to get a big advantage over the confederacy because the confederacy was at a loss for soldiers.

People started to dig caves for shelter because artillery fire destroyed the home
