Applications are invited for admissions in GSBTM sponsored Cancer Biology Finishing School at �e Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute (GCRI) with special emphasis on Molecular Biology Techniques.
To provide fundamental knowledge and training of molecular biology tools and its scienti�c concepts relevant to cancer biology.
Aim Ø To equip the aspiring participants with basic
and advanced concepts of molecular biology techniques in cancer biology.
Ø To enrich the participants as trained expert, employable in the �eld of oncology.
Objectives
Ø Lectures related to basic and advanced Genomics, Proteomics and Cytogenetic technologies
Ø Relevant hands on practical training on basic an d ad van ced m o l ec u lar tec h n i q u e s i n c l u d i n g q R T P C R , d d P C R , Immunohistochemistry, Flowcytometry, Microarray, Next generation sequencing (NGS), FISH, etc.
Ø Personal interaction of students with eminent scientists
Ø Seminar presentations & report preparation Ø Industrial visits
Course Content
Seats and Enrollment Criteria: 20 Students, on Merit and interview basisDeadline for application: May 30, 2019

Ø Minimum 50% in M.Sc. in Biological Sciences (Life Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Zoology, etc.) from recognized UGC University
Ø Minimum 50% in M.Sc. with MLT from recognized institute
Ø Minimum 50% in B.Sc. with MLT from recognized institute
Ø Candidates who have pursued MBBS, MD, BDS, MDS, B.Pharm/M.Pharm
Eligibility Criteria
Science/Pharmacy students: Rs.10,000/- Medical / Dental students: Rs. 25,000/-
