While pressing the striking plate down, align to the alatragus plane of the model

Level with the hamular notches

Place bar in center of mark

Establishing Centric

Slide lower jaw forward and back

Do this several times, moving the jaw forward and back

Slide lower jaw forward and backpushing the condyles back as far as possible

With mandible in REAR most position slide mandible right then left

Do this several times, moving the jaw to the left and the right

Place centric stop on tip of arrow

Lute centric stop to the striking plate, with hole of stop over the tip of the arrow

Patient will position pin in hole of centric stop

verify the pin has dropped into the hole of the centric stop

Mix a quick setting plaster

The thickness of the mix should be like thick sour cream

Load the plaster mix into a large barrel syringe, like the one you would get in the Accu-dent impression system kit.

Patient must keep mouth securely closed,with pin in centric stop.

Inject plaster starting in the back over the retromolar pad, and move forward to the tuberasity area

Solid bite block for mounting on an articulator

With proper vertical and centricto create balanced occlusion
