Career and Business Prep

Students will focus on office skills including: �  Business English and grammar �  Computer program skills (MS

Word) �  Keyboarding skills (typing

practice) �  Business writing (email, memos,

etc.)

Mon – Fri. 8:30am – 9:30am

ELL 4, 5, 6 (in Writing 1)

Food Manager Certificate Monday – Thursday

8:30am – 9:30am

The course will focus on content to pass the national exam to become a certified food manager in Minnesota.

Class is free, test is $36, certificate is $35 (total $71)

Available for students with TABE 5.0+ score

9 week class

Introduction to Health Care Core The course will provide you with an overall introduction to careers in healthcare and public administration. The course will focus on: �  Ethics in healthcare �  Principals of professional relationships �  Respecting client and staff diversity �  Professional behaviors for success in

healthcare settings �  Identifying next steps in careers

Mon. – Fri. 11:30am – 12:30pm

Requirements: TABE 5.0+

English for Manufacturing & the Trades

Mon – Thurs. 11:30am – 12:30pm

This is an introductory course that includes:

•  vocabulary

•  writing

•  Reading

•  listening and speaking

•  and math
