KING’S COLLEGE CHAPEL The building was begun by Henry VI in 1446
and is an important part of our national heritage. The architectural
majesty of the Chapel and the extraordinary musical quality of the Choir
are admired by millions of people every year. The College is solely
responsible for the upkeep of the Chapel.
KING’S COLLEGE CHAPEL FOUNDATION was established in 1997 to
safeguard and enhance the tradition of choral worship and musical
excellence through long-term support of the Choir; to protect the Chapel
through maintenance and conservation of this historic structure, its
fabric and furnishings; and to enhance visitors’ experience of the Chapel
and its daily services.
