FlexFit Hose helps decrease your production downtime!
Many times, manufacturing equipment for analytical and process control applications must be
connected with the most reliable indsutrial hose assemblies to decrease production downtime
and minimize product loss.
We help you make faster connections to start-up or restart your production line by using
the correct hose fittings and no adapters
Custom solutions to enhance your processes. For example, using a smaller size hose
fitting with a larger industrial hose to control flow or connect up disparate
manufacturing systems.

The FlexFit Hose Story
FlexFit Hose was founded in 2009 within a Hub Zone of Baltimore City, MD, when three partners,
including two from within this same line of business, saw the opportunity to better meet the demand for
industrial hose products across multiple markets. At the time of start-up, a lack of quality and sub-
standard customer service were norms in the industry. Recognizing how this adversely impacted
production, the company made a commitment to providing high-quality industrial hose assemblies and
delivering products to their customers faster. This, they knew, would help reduce their customers'
production downtime; something atypical among competitors and still true today.
After finding it hard to rely on others for manufacturing quality industrial hose fittings and meeting time
constraints, FlexFit Hose invested in CNC precision machines, bringing them in-house, along with hiring
highly qualified machine programmers. The company has continued to grow in revenue and size each
year since opening its doors. It maintains a high level of client satisfaction, as well as repeat business
among direct sale customers, sourcing and distribution partners.
Ensure Chemical Hose Assembly Materials are Media Compatible
When selecting your hose assembly, it is always necessary to ensure material
suitability with the chemical, gas or granulate that will flow through it during
your process. This includes checking materials of the chemical hose fittings as
well. If a PTFE lined hose is an excellent material with which to process your media, it may not be compatible with the carbon steel hose fittings selected as
ends for your chemical hose assembly. You then need to consider other
materials for the hose fittings, such as stainless steel (SS), brass or hastelloy.
High purity processes and other chemical applications could require PTFE
encapsulated SS hose fittings. Whatever media is to be used, make sure it is
compatible with the chemical hose you select.
Towards the top right of this page is our Chemical Hose Compatibility Tool you can use to check that
the materials are suitable for the media you intend it for. Click on the arrow to the right of the select
chemical field box to drop down the list of chemicals. Then click on the chemical to pull up a table
displaying four different grades of compatibility for common materials we work with when fabricating
chemical hose assemblies. The compatibility tables display grades for media interaction with PTFE, 316 SS,
304 SS, carbon steel and brass. The most common assemblies fabricated by FlexFit Hose are PTFE lined hose
with a 304 SS outer braid for reinforcement. 316L SS hose fittings and 304 SS hose ferrules. If your
specific chemical, gas or granulate is not listed in the chemical hose compatibility tables, please send it to
us via our Contact Us form and we will help you determine what chemical hose configuration is best.
Three applications not recommended with PTFE:
Elemental Lithium
Elemental Potassium
Elemental Sodium
Chemicals that are questionable for PTFE hose transfer at high temperature and/or
pressure:
Fluorine (F2)
Borane (B2H6) (400F to 500F)
Chlorine Tri-Fluoride (CIF3)
Aluminum Chloride (at elevated temperatures)
Iodine PentafluorideAmmonia (NH3)
Bromine Tri-FluorideAmines (R-NH2) (at elevated temperatures)
Oxygen DifluorideImines (R-NH)
Chlorine Difluoride 80%
Potassium Hydroxide 80%
Sodium Hydroxide 70%
