Guidelines for obtaining a Cittaslow-diploma

Falköpings municipality obtained its membership in the International Cittaslow

network in May 2008.

The municipality may be responsible for a lot of the criteria to be met for

membership, but not all. The fact that Falköping Municipality is a member of

Cittaslow does not mean that all citizens and representatives from industry

embraces the concept.

To anchor the Cittaslow among the local population and among local

entrepreneurs, we started to give diplomas to local entrepreneurs who support

our Cittaslow membership and our vision of the Good Life.

The purpose

The purpose of the diploma is to encourage local entrepreneurs to run their

business in the spirit of Cittalow and in this way contribute to the Good Life in

Falköping.

To receive a diploma the entrepreneur has to

• place great emphasis on hosting

• provide local products and organic products

• take clear steps for a sustainable society

• have knowledge about Cittaslow

• participate in and support the municipality’s vision of the Good Life

Objectives

The certified companies contribute to the Cittaslow become a natural

part of everyday image and actively contributes to anchoring the

Cittaslow among local residents.

The certified companies are also a Cittaslow advice where network

formation and development of the brand is discussed.
