The Use of Nature in the Classroom• Studies show that nature helps with stress, so what better way

to display classroom expectations than with nature backgrounds?

• Just looking at images of nature engages the brain to make it happier and more peaceful.

Using the Posters• This set of five posters can be changed seasonally, or you may

wish to use the general woods theme found at the end. • After each seasonal set is a one page poster featuring the five

expectations in case it is needed due to space. • Display Ideas:

– Have a large display featuring each poster for the season in a commons area and have classrooms use the one page poster.

– For added appeal, frame the posters in a variety of frames (look at thrift stores for great deals!) and display.
