1. Select patients for regional therapy based onclinical, radiologic, and laboratory parameters.
2. Provide periprocedural management for patients undergoing regional therapy, includingpremedication, pain control and palliation ofpost-embolization syndrome.
3. Perform hepatic arterial chemoembolization.4. Perform percutaneous alcohol ablation of tumors.
1. Provide a knowledge base from which practicing interventional radiologists can determinewhether certain skills can and should be applied to neurovascular problems.
2. Review relevant anatomy necessary to problemsolving in acute case management.

Develop a better understanding of head andneck revascularization procedures with particular emphasis on:a. management of acute stroke;b. revascularization of brachiocephalic stenosesand occlusions with emphasis on fibrinolytictherapy, balloon angioplasty, and stenting procedures;c. management of carotid and vertebal stenoseswith emphasis on fibrinolytic therapy, balloonangioplasty and stent placement; andd. discuss ethical issues relevant to carotid angioplasty and stenting and the various clinicalscenarios whereby carotid angioplasty andstenting are appropriate by current data in theliterature.
