Letter is a written or printed communication directed to a person or organization.

Letters are of two types:

1. Formal letters and

2. Informal letters

Informal letters

Informal letters are those which you write to your parents, relatives, friends, and are casually written, the way you would talks to them on phone or in person.

A formal letter is one that is written for official purpose. Letters written for school leave and other offices are official letters.
