• Components of an MIS– Gathering Data– Analyzing Data – Storing Data – Reporting results

• Word Processing Software- is used to create and revise written documents.

Desktop Publishing

• Desktop Publishing- the process of writing and designing high quality publications with the use of personal computers.

• Graphics Software- a computer program that prepares charts, graphs, and other visual elements.

Database Software

• Data Base- an organized collection of information with the pieces of information related to one another in some way or another.

Spreadsheet Software

• Spreadsheet software- a computer program that formats data in columns and rows in order to do calculations.
