Master the basics, then watch your opportunities become limitless. In Core Cutting I and II, you’ll learn the six principles of hair cutting–perspective, dimension, distribution of weight, elevation, over-direction and body position–and how they relate to each other. In this two-day class, you’ll focus on lecture in day one before practicing your newly acquired skills through three cuts on day two. Walk away understanding:

• The six principles of hair cutting • Verbiage, proper hand and body positioning and sectioning• Technique and shape in relation to the six principles

Techniques for: • Aveda’s one-length, graduation and layering• Long round layers• Triangular one-length above the shoulders• Triangular graduated bob• Square one-length• Round graduation• Short square layers
