Description

With this software, you can develop your owndigital and analog controls in a quick and simplemanner. Stepper motor controls, model rail roadsor complex measuring system projects - anythingthat is to be regulated electrically, can be realised.And the best: You don’t have to write a single lineof the program! You can visually develop yourcircuit directly on the PC, join switches, buttons,displays etc. and hence build your own projectstep by step in this way.The new version can work with a wide variety ofhardware (AD-converter, I/O-cards, relay cards,measuring instruments) from renownedmanufacturers. In addition, Internet functionalityand email facility is also integrated. In our productrange, you can find thermometers (up to 64channels), hygrometers, sound level measuringinstruments, anemometer and many more items.Each hardware appears as a normal component inyour circuit. In this software, you can simplyconnect the desired input and output. You wouldnot have worked before in such a simple manneron your PC with external hardware. By just pressof a button, the PC simulates your circuit in realtime. Incoming measurements are processed andsignals are delivered out.

The operation is carried out through a self-designed front-end, on which you can arrangeswitches, potentiometers, displays, LED's andinstruments.

With the EXPERT" version of compiler, you canalso convert the complete project into anindependent self-executable program. Then, theprogram can also be executed without theProfiLab "Expert" software and can be freelydistributed.Thus a complete software development systemcomes through without even writing a single line ofprogram code. With the software, you can realizeprofessional instrumentation projects in a simple,graphical development environment.You simply draw the scheme of measuring circuitand the project is ready. Without any knowledge ofprogramming, the measured values of the probesin the measuring circuit can be used. Arithmeticand logical components take care about thelinking and processing of measured values.Modules such as master clocks, timer switchesand relay cards facilitate extensive control andregulation possibilities. Various instruments,writers, and spreadsheets help in storage andrepresentation of measurements and themeasurement set-up can be operated throughdisplay and control elements.

Front end designDuring simulation, you can freely arrange yourcircuit on a front end screen. All control elementslike switches, buttons, and also indications likedisplays, graphics or tables can be arranged onthis front end screen. You can arrange the frontend as desired and mark the individual elements.With a state-of-art operating screen, youprofessionally complete your project.

One of the example front ends created withProfiLab has been shown above. Throughcombination of bitmap with control and displayelements, there is hardly any limit to yourfantasies for creating a visually attractive frontend.

For development of your project, all logicaland arithmeticcomponents areavailable in theextensive parts libraryfor linking andprocessing of yoursignals. The librarycontains all components,sorted group wise, whichare necessary fordevelopment. Besidesthe logical components(like e.g. gates, flip-flops,counters, register, ROMand RAM) there are alsomany instrumentation

components (like e.g. Trigger, formula module,sample & hold, comparator etc.).

In addition, many diverse display possibilities areavailable: From a simple LED up to a XY-writer,from pointer-instrument up to the table, you canuse everything on the front end to represent themeasured values and status. You have to simplydraw the necessary elements on the scheme andwire them as required. Similarly, communicationwith the used hardware is also built up through"standard" components. Then, these can beseamlessly integrated into your circuit, and yourcontrol is ready.

During development, you can try out your circuit atany point of time. Your project is then simulated inreal time and communication with the hardwaretakes place automatically.

Different Tools like display of logical conditionsduring simulation, or the integrated logic analyserhelps to identify the errors in your control, or toillustrate the functioning of your circuit.

Compiler inclusiveWith the integrated compiler, it is possible totransform completed projects to stand aloneapplications. These applications created throughthe ProfiLab-Software, can be started on anyWindows PC without the need to install the basicoriginal software. But the stand-alone applicationcannot be further modified after compilation.However, it can be freely distributed by the ownerof original software. Thus a complete softwaredevelopment system comes through without evenwriting a single line of program code.
