How Do I Select Courses?

Select 8 Courses Your choices affect the courses being offered next year

The courses you choose now

are the courses you will take in September

EXTREMELY LIMITED opportunity to make changes before

the end of June

Priority will be given to students who require level changes,

are missing compulsories or have a change in post-

secondary pathway

It is much easier to drop unwanted courses than it is to add

or change courses

Minimum Number of Courses

East York C. I. requires that you have a minimum number of courses on your schedule

in each grade:

Grades 9 and 10: 8 courses

Grade 11: 8 courses

Grade 12: 6 courses (provided you have 24 credits)

Strongly advised to choose 8

Choosing the Right Course Code:

First 3 characters – Department

4th character – Grade

5th character – Pathway

6th character – Section Type (1=Regular, 3=Enriched, 8=ESL, 9=Special Education)

You can either enter our Activation Key

(eastyork) in the New User Box

or visit your school’s Landing Page

(www.myblueprint.ca/tdsb)

Enter your Provincial Education Number (OEN)

and Date of Birth Note: This 9-digit number can be found on

your report card

DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP!!!

STEP 1: Login to your myBlueprint account

via the Existing User box

STEP 2: From the Dashboard, click

on View Courses

STEP 3: Add courses to

your High School Plan.

Click on +Course to select

from courses at your

school.

One alternate must be

selected and will likely be

used. Not choosing an

alternate means your

Guidance Counsellor will

have to choose for you.

• Click Learn More in the

SHSM Planner (located in

the right margin)

• Click Browse SHSM

• Choose Manufacturing from

the drop-down menu

• Select your preferred post-

secondary pathway

• Review requirements

• Click Indicate Interest

• Click Confirm Interest

• Select either 2 or 4 credit Co-Op

• Attend the CoOp Info Session on Thursday, February 23rd

• Obtain and complete a CoOp Application Package (available at the Info Session)

• Submit to Guidance by Thursday, March 9th

• Have an interview with a Co-Op teacher to discuss your area of interest
