How to Create a
PowerPoint
Before beginning, please make sure your computer has this
PowerPoint program installed.
Find & click-on the green “Start”
button, located on the bottom left corner of your screen. Next,
locate & click-on “All Programs.”
Some computers may have the PowerPoint Program located on the left-hand side,
above the “All Programs” section, in the “All Programs” section, or as a shortcut on the
desktop.
First, click on the “Home” tab, on the upper left hand corner of the screen. Click-on “Layout” and choose one of the ready-made design templates and layout for your
slides, as shown in the sample below.
After selecting your design template & layout, choose your font style and size. You may
change the color of your font as well. Now, you are ready to start typing your text.
If you want to add a picture, image, clip art, or chart,
click-on the “Insert” tab and select what you would like
to add.
Now, you can start creating each slide of your PowerPoint
Presentation. When you are
ready to make a new slide, go to
the “Home” tab & click-on “New
Slide” to add/create a new
slide.
Remember…When creating your PowerPoint
presentation, keep it short, simple, and organized. Include visuals like charts, illustrations, and diagrams to help
your audience understand what you
are talking about.
