Aim to help builders and residential associations to implement self reliant rejection management at source.
To effectively and efficiently manage waste generated by the tenants living in the building complexes/apartments.
To ensure replication of the successful business model in Kerala to all the major states and cities in India.
CREDAI national to spread the movement through the nation as a project recognised by the Government of India.
To ultimately achieve the objective “Clean India, Green India”
Introduction
CREDAI CLEAN CITY MOVEMENT
CREDAI Clean City movement was set up in 2007.
The clean city service is now enjoyed by the entire state of Kerala.
CCCM has brought many Economical, Social and Ecological
benefits to the state of Kerala.
The theme of the movement is to encourage eco-friendly, economical,
self reliant and self sustainable rejection management.
Status of CCCM in Kerala
CREDAI CLEAN CITY MOVEMENT
90% of Building complexes in Kochi are
self reliant in solid waste management.
100% of new buildings have installed bio bins
at the time of completion
Non biodegradable waste produced is being used in the production of tarmac used in roads in different parts of the
city.
CCCM currently provides savings of 3.6 lakhs per day to Local
Self Governments.
Generated Employment for 650 families below

In Kochi, 650 women were employed in apartment complexes for collection and processing of rejections earning an average salary of Rs. 6,500 per month. Savings to the Government
CREDAI CLEAN CITY MOVEMENT
All biodegradable rejections are processed at source without any financial liability to the government. CCCM handles 28,800 tons of bio-degradable rejections every year. How the Government can support
CREDAI CLEAN CITY MOVEMENT

Service tax exemption given to pollution control or effluent treatment plants as per notification No. 25/2012 dtd 20th June 2012 may be extended to the services of solid waste management and hygiene management services of maintenance and labour charges.

The beneficiary (user) should be given Option to select quality equipments suitable to his requirement . An upper limit for the subsidy may be fixed to limit the liability to the Govt. So that, the user will have the responsibility to pay the difference amount and at the same time he will get an equipment useful to his requirement..

The group leaders of CCCM travelling on two wheelers through the city to ensure operations and
maintenance are within guidelines. Each team leader has 40 – 50 workers under them.
