Master of Science (M.S.) in CriminologyProgram DescriptionThe Master of Science in Criminology program is designed to provide students with an understand-ing of the fundamentals of criminology as well as an in-depth knowledge of one or more sub�elds within the discipline. The program prepares students for employment in a wide variety of settings across government, business, and non-pro�t sectors. The program is also designed to allow gradu-ates to pursue further advanced study in criminology, criminal justice, justice studies, political science, law, sociology, or other closely related social scienti�c disciplines. The program o�ers thesis, project, and courses-only degree options.

Admission requirements 2.6 GPA

Degree requirements Complete a comprehensive exam and courses in areas including Criminological Theory, Data Analysis, and Social Scienti�c Research Methods.

Complete 30–36 graduate credit hours which may include up to six hours of research culminating in a thesis or graduate research project.
