Montgomery Canal actions

1 Ecological channel project To restore 1 km of the dry section of

the canal in an ecologically sound manner

2 Rural land management initiativeBy working with local landowners:- To extend the ecological corridor

provided by the canal into adjacent agricultural land;

and Encourage agricultural diversification

through the opportunities opened up by canal tourism & recreation
