Who: Chinese Master students who have finished their 2ndsemester, who plan to do a PhD in Germany
Aim: undertake a research project in connection with their masterthesis; make first contact with possible PhD supervisor
Duration: 1 – 3 months
Value: 750 Euro per month
Application: 31.May / 30.Nov to the DAAD Beijing Office
Short-term scholarship for Master Student硕士短期奖学金
Who: PhD candidates and Post-Docs in China (no more than 3 years should have passed since starting the doctorate)
Aim: To do research in connection with or gather material for a PhD thesis which will be submitted in China
Duration: 1 – 6 months
Value: 1000 Euro per month + insurances + international travel expenses
Application: 31.May / 28.Nov to DAAD-Portal and the DAAD Beijing Office
DAAD Short-term Research Grants 短期研究奖学金
CAS-DAAD Scholarship中科院-DAAD 联合奖学金
Who: PhD students from institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences
Aim: Part of doctoral research at German universities and research institutions
Duration: 12 – 22 months
Value: 1000-1200 Euro per month + insurances + international travel expenses
Language: IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL IBT 80 or above
Application: 23. March to UCAS, the final candidates will be decided by Sino-Germany commission through a interview
Sino-German(CSC-DAAD) Postdoc Scholarship Program中德(CSC-DAAD)博士后奖学金项目
Who: have completed their studies with a PhD (no more than 2 yearsshould have passed since graduation) or phd candidates who will begraduated before July 2016 from all the majors
Duration: 7 – 18 months
Value: 2000 Euro per month + insurances + international travel expenses + 3 months language training
Application: Novemer 2015 to both CSC and DAAD, the final candidates will be decided by Sino-Germany commission through a interview
Research Stays for University Academics and Scientists 研究访问
Who: University teachers and established academics and scientistswho have usually completed a doctoral degree and work at a university or a reseach institute in China
What can be funded: Research Stays at state or state-recognisedinstitutions of higher education or non-univesity research institutes in Germany. A research Stay can also take place at several hostinstitutions.
Duration: 1 – 3 months
Value: 2000 Euro per month + insurances + international travel expenses
Application: 15.Aug / 31.Jan to DAAD
DAAD – K.C.WONG FellowshipsDAAD-王宽诚奖学金
Who: highly qualified Chinese scientists and researchers from thenatural sciences, mathematics, engineering, agriculture and medicine. Applicants must have one of the following titles: Professor, AssociateProfessor, Research Fellow, Associate Research Fellow or Senior Engineer
Duration: 3 – 12 months
Value: 2211 Euro per month ( including contribution towards health, accident and personal liability insurance cover of 111 euros)
Application: 30. April / 15.Nov to DAAD
China/Germany Joint Research Programme (PPP)中德合作科研项目
Who: programme jointly funded by the DAAD and the CSC topromote joint research between scientists in Germany and China bygranting support for the exchange of project partners.
Duration: multiple short-term research stay within 2 years
Application: June to CSC and DAAD
