Long Point Camp was founded by The Salvation Army in the mid-1950’s. The camp is situated on 138 acres and borders Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. It is equipped with a gymnasium, administration building, waterfront and boating area, gaga pit, swimming pool, playground, dining hall, campfire circle, chapel and staff facilities.
Long Point offers the ultimate camp experience under the direction of a qualified Christian staff. The camp is a
member of the Christian Camp and Conference Association, accredited by the American Camping
Association, and is licensed through the New York State Department of Health.

ACCOMMODATIONSChildren sleep in large cabins that accommodate twelve campers, two counselors and one support staff member in each unit. Cabins are equipped with indoor toilets, showers and recreation rooms for rainy day activities.
HEALTH CARELong Point Camp operates a health center 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide appropriate and necessary care for children and staff. All care is approved by a physician and the New York State Health Department. When additional care is needed, the local doctor’s office and hospital are available.
SUPERVISIONChildren will be supervised by counselors and program staff at all times. Staff members are carefully screened and required to complete an orientation and training program prior to the start of the camping season.
CANTEENParents may send money with the campers to purchase a variety of camp merchandise: camp shirts, blankets, stuffed animals, etc.
ACTIVITIESCamp activities include swimming, low ropes course, arts & crafts, fishing, canteen, evening programs, hiking, outdoor living/camping, kayaking,music, sports and recreation, archery, and other activities.

• To teach children about God and Christian values.
• To promote positive social and interpersonal behavior.
• To provide opportunities for children to learn life skills.
Because we are a Christian camp, children will also be encouraged to participate in Christian
education, devotions, prayers and a worship service.
• To provide opportunities for children to engage in a variety of activities that are not available to them at home in order to broaden their understanding and appreciation for the world God created.
• To provide a safe and loving environment for emotional growth.
