Yardage requirements for this pattern may allow for excess yardage to accommodate specific placement of motifs or to allow for any fussy-cutting to achieve the finished quilt design.
While every attempt has been made to give accurate measurements, yardage requirements, and construction directions; this does not allow personal variations in measuring, cutting, and or sewing. The enclosed directions were used in the construction of the original quilt.
Directions Sew one CX5473 1” x 10 1/2” piece to the top and bottom of each CX5474 10 1/2” x 10 3/4” piece. Sew one CX5473 31” x 11 3/4” piece to each side.
Sew one CX5477 1 1/2” x 11 1/2” piece to the top and bottom of each square. Sew one CX5477 1 1/2” x 13 3/4” piece to each side.
For the cornerstones machine applique (1) CM0376 1” square to the center of each DC5153 2 1/2” square. Make (9) total.
For the sashing rows, begin and end with one DC5153 2 1/2” square and alternate with (2) CX5475 2 1/2” x 13 3/4” pieces. Make (3) total. Set aside.
Beginning and ending with a CX5475 2 1/2” x 13 1/2” piece alternate with two blocks. Make (2) rows. Keep motifs upright in vertical rows.
Sew the rows together begin with a 2 1/2” sashing strip. Alternate with the two vertical block rows. End with a sashing strip to make one 32 1/2” x 33” piece as shown.
Sew one CM0376 1” x 32 1/2” piece to the top and bottom of the quilt. Sew one CM0376 1” x 33” piece to each side.
Sew one CX5475 10 3/4” x 33 1/2” piece to the top and bottom of the quilt. The print edge should be the outside edge of the quilt.
Sew one CM5474 8” x 10 3/4” rectangle to the top and bottom of each CX5475 8” x 34” strip. Keep motifs upright. Make 2. Sew one to each side of the quilt as shown.
Layer backing, batting, and quilt top. Baste.
Quilt as desired.
Bind quilt using K2149 2 1/2” strips pieced as needed for length.
