Letter from the Chair

Hey there!

Have you been on a rollercoaster before? Do you know the feeling in

your stomach when it goes up and down? I personally love it. It is an

adventure. It is a kick. And even though you have been a little scared

when the wagon started moving, at the end you are flashed, excited

and happy that you did it and you simply can’t wait to go on that ride

again. To feel the excitement again, the prickling in your stomach and

the satisfaction afterwards. Do you know what I am talking about?

At this very moment you are about to enter a rollercoaster ride which can

become one of the best adventures you have had so far. You took the first

step already by applying to become part of the most professional and

diverse student-run organization in the world. You have your ticket, but

the question is, will you use it? And if yes, how? If a journey becomes a

great one, depends on you, nobody else. So make the most out of it!

However, the Conference Team of SEED, your very first conference, will

make sure that the start will be a blast. We will take care that you find the

best seat to enjoy the ride and get all the preparation you might need.

And who am I? I will be the chair or your chair. Whatever that means you

might think. Well, let’s define that together next weekend when we start

our ride on the AIESEC rollercoaster. Let’s make it a hell of a ride.

However, this is just the start...

Agenda

o The first day will be focused on general AIESEC knowledge, getting to know the

organisation in a broader sense. When joining AIESEC you become a member of a

66 years old organisation with a lot of values, traditions and goals for the future.

The first day of the Local Training Seminar will help you understand this. Take into

account that the first day starts with check in from 14:30, so please be there

sharp.

o The second day will be focused on the department you applied for and you will get

to know about what your department will be doing for the next year.

o The third day will be focused on your Local Committee – UNIC or CBS - and your

role in it.

The Parties

Friday theme – DECADES!

You can relive some of your own memories of days gone

by or discover a whole new era for the first time.

Saturday theme – I SHOULDN’T BE HERE PARTY!

Dress as you were supposed to be doing anything but

being at a party.

Practicalities

The Local Training Seminar is with an overnight stay – we all will be sleeping at the

venue. For that it is super important that you bring:

o A mattress and/or sleeping bag;

o Towel and toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, shower stuff);

o Mug (to endorse sustainability) and a bottle for water;

o Pen to write notes, you’ll take many of them;

o Set of clothes you can change in;

o Costumes for the parties;

o Cash – 50 kr. bills for the bar cards in the party and cash for the seminar fee;

o Good mood.

We are all looking forward

to spending this weekend

with you!
