DEBATE Nothing more than a thin glass window separates them. But the rooms either side of the glass could not be more different. There are those who live in utter poverty, every day struggling to carry out even the simplest of tasks such as washing clothes and cooking meals. Through the glass everyday they are tormented by the sight of the others. Surrounded by food, technology, money, they see these resources as potential for better quality of life, health, increased productivity. The others, they do not see through the glass, blind to the inequalities, ignorant of the ways they could help, and dismissive of pleas for even the smallest of favours.
