• Social media website founded in San Francisco, CA in 2004

• Attracted over 236 million visitors to its website annually since 2008

• Anyone can join the Digg community• Post anything from images and video to stories

and articles• Create networks and groups with friends to see

their posts and comments

Digg or Bury?

• Once a post is created, it enters the “upcoming” section of the Digg website

• Click “digg” it if viewers like the content

• Click “burn” it if viewers don’t, or it’s spam

• The most “digged” stories get sent up to “popular” status and appear on the front of the website

• Each story displays its number of “diggs”

Customize, Personalize,

and Specialize with digg

•Digg Shop sells customized Digg apparel

•Can personalize your homepage

•Only see certain topics that are posted

• No formal Digg editors-the people determine the content displayed

Privacy Policy

• Digg only asks necessary personal information

• Pictures are optional

• “Sharing your Information” lets you decide how much you want to share about yourself and who can see it

• Get email notifications about your profile and posts

• Need a password and username to post on Digg
