The brief required that we choose a space with personal importance to ourselves, measure every aspect of it, objec-tively and subjectively, and communicate these to our col-leagues.
I chose the kitchen of my apartment in Vienna, because it is a space that functions excellently, despite perceived draw-backs, and because it is a very enjoyable space to use and holds many happy memories for me.

The brief required that we design a community of dwellings on a Grangetown, Cardiff site. Paramount to the design must be the idea of sustainability, both environmental and social.
