EARLY COLLEGE ACCESS DEFINITIONS

- Early College Access Program allows high school students to simultaneously enroll at Magruder High School and Montgomery College(MC).

- Concurrent Enrollment—High school student who is enrolled in both high school and Montgomery College, but does not receive high school credit for the college courses completed. The college courses appear on the MC transcript.

- DEPA – Dual Enrollment Program Assistant…The contact person at Magruder High School = Mr. Robert Bean..robert_a_bean@mcpsmd.org

CLASS OFFERINGS FOR FALL OF 2012

BA 101 = Intro to BusinessAn introductory course designed to survey the field of business and its environment in order to give the student a broad overview of the principles, practices, institutions, and functions of business.

SP 101 – Intro to Human CommunicationsA survey course that covers communication theory and develops communication skills for personal and professional relationships in interpersonal, group, and public settings. Course content includes practice in the application of the principles of listening, verbal and nonverbal communication, group dynamics, and public speaking.

MONEY MATTERSMONEY MATTERS Tuition and Fees – FY 2011 3 credits $427.20 4 credits $569.60

Family is responsible for tuition, fee, and textbook expense

High School Grant available for families with demonstrated

financial need (first come basis)
