NB: If they can’t get it after a few seconds don’t worry, just tell them and move on.

Prompts When your child makes a mistake:
• Let them read on – they might notice the mistake themselves!
If not, go back to it and say:You said .....Does it look like....?You said .....Does that make sense?They will begin to listen to their own reading and
correct themselves.
