For the Meg Tote I gathered inspiration from my street pictures from travels in LA and back home here in Melbourne.
Drawing from the strong directional lines reaccuring in the pictures and contrasting them with the girlie frills and bows showen on the catwalks. In particu-lar the Fall 2010 RTW Miu Miu collection.
Sketching thumbnails and making toiles, I then started playing with creating strong direc-tional patterns for the stud placement. Using spiked cone studs which I juxtaposed with a more rounded, softer feminine shape of the bag with bow detail.
