EMERGENCY LITERACY

Procedures:

1. Teacher shows fancy a mystery box and tells pupils to guess what they can fine in

the mystery box.

2. Teacher chooses a pupil to touch an object on the mystery box

3. Than the pupil needs to draw shapes of object on the whiteboard

4. For more interesting, teacher can invite three or four pupils to do this activity. So

our pupils can see different shape and saiz printed by their friends.

5. Teacher encourages pupils to guess what object in the mystery box.

6. Teacher appreciates all of the pupils answer 

7. Teacher shows the object to conform the answer 

8. Teacher ask the pupils, the name of the object

9. Teacher shows flashcard to spell and sound the word of ‘ circle’

10. Teacher introduces action song to pupils (Refer at appendix I)

11. Teacher demonstrates the activity according to step how to draw ‘magic painting’

• Use a candle to draw circle shape on the drawing paper 

• Then use the sponge to colour the magic painting with water colour. Finaly,

pupils can see the circles.

12. Pupils do the magic painting individually by teachers guidance

Procedures:

1. Teacher introduce local fruit by singing a song

2. Children sing a song together with the teacher 

3. Teacher introduces actual local fruits (watermelon, pineapple, banana). Children

touch and feel the fruits.

4. Teacher show the flash cards. Children will spell the words and said aloud

5. Teacher provide worksheets to children and they will colour the pictures and write

the words

6. After finished, children read the words together. Then, children read the word by

their own with guidance.

* During recess time, children will eat the local fruits enjoyly
