Inclusion is for and about everyone

(Katz & Miller, 2008).

What are the characteristics of an Inclusive Campus?

Inclusive Campus

1. Faculty, Staff, and Students feel valued and their ideas are taken into account

and used.

2. People partner successfully within and across departments.

Inclusive Campus

3. Students feel that they belong and prospective Students are attracted to the

institution. 4. People feel connected to each other and

the campus goals, and;

5. The leadership continuously attends to inclusion

(Davidson and Ferdman, 2002)

Changing the Campus culture to a culture of Inclusion requires the support and

involvement of the leadership. The leadership must visibly and vocally demonstrate their commitment to a culture of inclusion, and they must set the bar for

their employees and "walk the talk"

in all their interactions (Katz & Miller, 2008).

Senior Leadership Champions of Change?

Inclusion is a process,

which you must create in each moment and in each interaction with..

(senior leadership, middle mangers, front line supervisors, and staff)

each and every day (Davidson and Ferdman, 2002).
