In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the G.O.L.D Club
hosted a Chips and Salsa event for the RCGC community. The
event consisted of learning different styles of Latin music —
salsa, merengue and bachata. Students learned the basic
dance steps for each style of music and then practiced their
new moves with a partner.
Jasmarie Acre joined the EOF team in early January
as the EOF recruiter. Jasmarie currently resides in
Burlington County. She attended Rutgers University–
Camden where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree
in Social Work and continued her graduate studies at
the Rutgers School of Social Work where she earned
her Master’s degree in Social Work with a
concentration in Management and Policy. Jasmarie
is an EOF alumni and has previously worked with the EOF office at Rutgers
University–Camden as a Program Assistance; it was through this experience
where she found her passion for working in a higher education setting. In her
free time, Jasmarie loves to watch movies and playing with her dog, Bella.
“I am extremely excited to work for the EOF program at RCGC because this
program has truly made an impact on my life as a whole. I was able to attend
college free and become the first in my family to attend and graduate from
college. I am a proud EOF alumni and I want to help others achieve
greatness.” — Jasmarie Acre
