17th Annual Conference on Material Forming – ESAFORM 2014 — Espoo, Finland May 7–9, 2014
Welcome from the Chairman
The Annual ESAFORM (European Scientific Association for Material Forming) conference brings together young and senior scientists and engineers working on different material forming processes with all types of materials. This year’s Conference is composed of 19 distinct Mini-Symposia which topics vary from fundamental aspects and modelling, to practical engineering applications.
I would like to thank ESAFORM Association and Board-of-Directors (BoD) for choosing VTT and Finland to be 2014 conference organizer. Everyone of BoD has been ready to help and advise organizers. Mini-Symposia (MS) are the core of conference and special thanks go to the MS-organizers. Their extreme efforts in assuring the relevance and quality of the submitted papers have made this conference possible. Last but not least, I thank my organizing colleagues; Maria Rajasalmi and Christina Vähävaara for their enormous work for the Conference.
