BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING (HONS) CHEMICAL The programme, which was introduced in UiTM in May 2000, is offered for duration of four (4) years in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC). The programme consists of 134 credit hours and accredited by Board of Engineer (BEM) Malaysia.

CURRICULUM The curriculum structure is tailored to prepare individuals for broad education consisting chemical engineering fundamentals such as chemical kinetics, thermodynamics and transport processes as well as specific areas including environmental technology, hydrocarbon processing, food technology and industrial biotechnology.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT: GENERAL QUALIFICATION
A minimum Band 2 in MUET
A PASS in English in SPM or its equivalent which
recognized by the Malaysian Government
Candidate must NOT be COLOR BLIND or
PHYSICALLY DISABLED which makes him/her unable
to conduct experimental /practical work
ENTRY REQUIREMENT: SPECIFIC QUALIFICATION
Candidates from Diploma in Chemical Engineering/
Science/ Pharmacy/ Industrial Chemistry/ Polymer
Technology/ Food Technology/ Environmental Health/
Engineering from UiTM:
- A minimum CGPA of 2.50
Candidates from Diploma in Engineering from other
institutions recognised by the Malaysian government:
- A minimum CGPA of 3.00
Candidates from UiTM’s Science Foundation/
PASUM/ Matriculation or its equivalent, recognised
by the Malaysian government:
- A minimum CGPA of 2.75
- A minimum of Grade B- for two subjects, a
minimum of Grade C in the following: Mathematics,
Physics/ Engineering Physics/ Biology, Chemistry/
Engineering Chemistry Physics
Candidates from STPM or its equivalent recognised
by the Malaysian government:
- A minimum CGPA of 2.75
- A minimum of Grade B- in two subjects, and a
minimum of Grade C in one of the following:
Mathematics T/ Further Mathematics T, Physics/
Biology, Chemistry, and a minimum of Grade C in ‘
Pengajian Am ’

Fully Equipped Laboratories
• High technology equipment are made available to the students in a
specialized laboratories including a double volume pilot plant. These up-
to-date teaching and learning facilities enhance students’ knowledge on
unit operations, chemical reaction, heat transfer, particle technology,
industrial process control instrumentation.
• Computer laboratories are equipped with software such as ICON, ASPEN
PLUS, HYSIS, MATLAB and AutoCAD suitable for teaching and
learning activities.

Answer: The are several financial supports which
could be applied such as PTPTN and others government
loans and schol-arships. The UiTM Financial Support
