Thank you for choosingMichigan Area United Methodist Camping for your summer adventures!
We appreciate the support of families, friends and churches who understand the POWER OF CAMP to change lives. We hear it from campers, moms, dads, and pastors: “God’s love is magnified at camp.” “Praise God! Our camper came home more confident and full of energy.”
Through nine unique locations across lower Michigan, we invite you to experience the love of Christ at camp. Michigan Area United Methodist Camping lets children, youth and adults “unplug” from day-to-day distractions and find new life through daily adventures including swimming, exploring nature, crafts, and living in Christian community. Our Bible-based programs integrate faith and fun all day long! Look for the symbol throughout this guide for exciting new camps.
Plus, we’ve invested in facility upgrades at each location for greater comfort and sustainability. Rest assured our trained camp counselors and staff are focused on your campers’ safety, spiritual growth and building relationships.
The best way to register for camp is online at www.umcamping.org. Use the camp calendars on the next few pages to find your options (events are color coded by camp), or turn to the Camp Spotlightto learn a more about the locations and events.
New Camper Rebate is back. Your invitation to a new camper saves you and them on registration fees. In fact, the more first-time campers you recruit, the more you save! See page 9 for details.
Please join me in praying for all our campers, staff and volunteers whospend time in Christian community this summer at camp.
Rev. George H. AyoubExecutive DirectorMichigan Area United Methodist Camping

CAMP CHANGES LIVES
Today’s families are stressed by work, school, long commutes, social media, and too much “screen time.” Summer camp provides a structured, safe, and freeing environment to try new things, explore the outdoors, and connect with peers within a community that shares the love of Jesus Christ.
We have seen the amazing way God works through the campers, counselors, volunteers, deans and staff at camp. Contact us if you’d like to get involved as a volunteer!
Your donations help make camp more affordable for everyone. Plus, scholarships are available for families that need extra help.
Here are a few ways:
1) Include a donation on your registration form.2) Send a donation by mail. Michigan Area
United Methodist Camping, PO BOX 120007, Grand Rapids, MI 49528.
3) Text UMCAMPING to 414444) Invite others to donate through our
crowdfunding site (see the top of page 15 for details) at www.bit.ly/CampFundraiser.
5) Sponsor a Camp Sunday at your church to tell others about the opportunities to go to camp and give. Look under “Resources” on our website for help.

Lauren was invited to camp by her friend. She did not attend church regularly, but knew her friend loved going to camp every year. She had a great time and discovered God’s unconditional love for her. Now she wants to learn more about Jesus and bring more friends to camp.
Chris walked to church most Sundays. His parents didn’t attend, but he liked it there. When his church family found out he wanted to go to camp but didn’t have transportation or sufficient funds, they made sure he got scholarships and they drove him to camp!
Will you help us share God’s love through camp?
“This was an awesome experience for my son and I am very appreciative you have the scholarship program that helped him be able to go, so thank you very much!”
