the eye. The Fiordland penguin has a blue/ black colored back. It’s size is 24-27 inches weight 3-6 kg.

HabitatThe Fiordland penguin is found in the

Fiordland coast. It shares its habitat with other penguins like the yellow eyed and little penguin.

How it movesMy penguin waddles and swims. It waddles

for walking on land. They swim while hunting for food in water.

What it eats The Fiordland penguin’s favorite food is krill.

The Fiordland is a predator and prey. They also eat fish and squid.

The Fiordland penguin’s predators: cats, dogs, foxes, along with rats and weasels on land. In water: large seals, fur seals, leopard seals, large sharks, and killer whales.

Interesting factsThe reason it got the name Fiordland is

where it lives is the Fiordland island. Its nickname is crested penguin because it has a crest above the eye.
