The Use of the Aorist TenseThe Use of the Aorist Tense

• There are three tenses in the Greek that are used for the past tense.– Aorist– Perfect– Imperfect

• The aorist tense describes either…– Simple action (usually in the past) – Punctiliar action (point action)
