Admitting Examinees

• Check ID’s and mark rosters

• Assign seats• Assistants will come

around to collect Attendance rosters between 7:40-7:45.

• Be sure to adhere to the testing time schedule.

• Remind students of 5-minutes remaining for each section and keep accurate stop times.

• Please ensure that you can show the video / connect to the projection unit in your assigned classroom.

Group Discussion pg 9

• Lead group discussion.• Have one student/pair share experience

for each socioeconomic symbol.• Use articles on college and salaries or the

video to support discussion.• Compare student’s goal (original symbol)

to performance (adjusted symbol).• Let students re-try activity using their goal

symbol. (If time permits.)

Special Notes:

• Walk around and check students’ math. Some of the calculations (ex. Savings formula) can be difficult.

• If they seem to have too much money left, check that students properly deducted all debt, required and unexpected expenses from both their lifestyle card and their partner/partner card.

• If finished early, allow students to re-do the activity to figure out how to better use their money or to see what it’s like to do the activity with a different Lifestyle card.
