Virtual Circuit Board Diagnostics

Working together, Westinghouse and GSE Systems are creating a simulation of the Rod Control Cabinet Circuit Boards – using 1st principles modeling for non-linear diagnostic training.

Using a virtual voltmeter and oscilloscope, countless scenarios can be used to test the trainees.

3Di-TouchWall

Life-Sized User Experience with:• Multi-Touch Surface• Stereo-3D Display, and

• IR Head / Camera Tracking

15

Augmented Reality

Overlay real-time computer graphics and video on the glasses of the user. Provide just-in-time steps during the task.

Record, stream, and archive images and video of the procedure for review or remote assistance by a subject matter expert.

Summary

• Interactive-3D has been proven to improve training effectiveness, in half the time.

• Virtual Job Performance Measures are feasible in a virtual environment that responds to the physics model of an Operator Training Simulator.

• Virtual Diagnostic Simulation of electronic equipment is feasible using virtual systems and sensors.

• Immersive User Experiences are no longer limited to expensive “CAVEs” ($200k–$1M+). The 3Di-TouchWall provides a similar experience for less than $30k.

• Wearable Mobile Devices (AR Glasses $700) are making it feasible to not only have electronic documents in the field, but the accurate visualization of individual steps during a task.
