Poster of the day. Self initiated. Posters & book. 2008 - 2009
“Poster of the day” is a self initiated project where i set the goal of making a poster every day for a year. I then sent each poster by e-mail to a mailing list which consisted of about 500 people worldwide. The poster for each day is inspired by that particular day and therefor it transformed into a sort of graphic diary.
I made a 700 page book out of all of them as my graduation project from the Icelandic Academy of the Arts.
Here i have chosen some of my favourite ones.
Black Monday. Anxiety. Walleted. XMAS.

Of the many technological innovations that Google is responsible for creating (and monetizing, and embedding in the average person’s existence, and eventually making so utterly ubiquitous that verbs are created from its products, a la “We Gchatted about Google Mapping”), Google Street View is maybe the most disconcerting.Google’s aggressive documentation of the physical world was originally accomplished with camera-mounted cars and vans; they’ve recently added tricycles and snowmobiles in an effort to shoot those tricky corners of the world where cars can’t go. Obviously, all of this is a—the?—Big Brother-ed nightmare, even more so than Google’s other prongs of everywhereness. (There’s even a Wikipedia page called “Google Street View privacy concerns.”) Even the not-insignificant number of super-cool uses for Google Street View—like playing with the interactive, multi-application, nostalgia-exploiting Arcade Fire video for “The Wilderness Downtown,” or looking up your house only to find a pic of yourself stumbling for keys out front—have a sinister cast.As it often happens amid political turmoil and social chaos, the dual and dueling anxiety and loveliness of Street View has been made remarka-ble by a Montreal artist named Jon Rafman. Today, Thought Catalog posted about his collection (or “curation” but we officially can’t say-type-think that anymore without ralphing) of incredible Google Street View shots, which qualify as art-art and not just a Tumblog joke, owing to Raf-man’s knack for “polishing these turds of absurd-ities into shiny diamonds.” Agreed.Among these commentary-free posts (Rafman has used these kinds of shots in his own strictly- speaking-art, too) are captures of a house on fire and a shirtless man bolting out the front door; a dog in mid-squeeze through a fence; a solo baby crawling around the entrance to a Gucci store; prostitutes hanging out behind what looks like a truck stop; in-progress arrests; horses on front lawns; and a whole lot of naked butts. The shots are totally effective comedy (so many naked butts!), but mostly a totally effective commentary on the often-ignored multiplicity of geographic, economic, social and emotional expe-riences in the giant world that Google is con-quering. Street View is, objectively, weird and scary (they have made some good changes, like removing shots of safe-houses and shelters), but it’s also the best example of the real-time changes the internet has wrought.

I have a great passion for typography and am really into creating typefaces especially for projects.
These are typefaces that i have drawn and used for various projects. None of them have been made into fonts but in the near future i hope to change that.
Some of them are only available in uppercase but others are also available in lowercase.
