MDU Cabling in ItalyAn overview

The extractable Solutions in MDU cabling

Nowadays the extractable solutions have become veryimportant in MDU cabling systems, because they bringmany advantages to the installation:

Speed and ease of the installation

Less cables to deal with

Reduced space required

High Flexibility

Future upgrade

The principle of extractable solutions is so easy:

Step 2On the subscriber’s floor pull

back the selected fibre module

Step 1On a higher floor cut the

The harsh environments

Installers and Tel.Co.s find it very effective, and more and morechoose to go this way…

…pushing it to the limit when they find:A very limited space available in the Riser ShaftsA difficult path between two floorsOvercrowded Riser DuctsA lot of bends to deal withHistorical Buildings without any cable ductsVisual impact as an issue

And this is the situation you face very often in the old-countries ofEurope, not only in Italy, where for the first time a new solution isrequired.

A new compact Solution

In all those cases, moving away from the standardsolution, a new compact solution is available:

For the time being, extractable solutions represent themost effective way to create the fibre network in theMDU. Systems are new babies, which can have a lot offurure improvements.

For internal cabling, when enough space is available forthe installation, the standard solution has to be chosendue to its advantages in terms of speed, ease ofinstallation, protection to the fibres.

In case of very challenging environments, a compactand embedded solution is available, providing that yourenounce some of the standard solution advantages.
