Self-cured mode for Post cementation
Futurabond DC cures without any light in the self-cured mode. This is a big advantage for endo applications like root canal cementation. Futurabond DC eliminates the problem of the “pooling effect”, the blocking of the root canal caused by cured bonding agent. Special Endo Tims allow an easy application of Futurabond DC in the root canal. The material will not start to cure before it is in contact with a dual or self-cured resin cement or core build-up composite.
Endo Tim – Brushes for applying bonding agents and varnishes into the root canal
pack 100 Endo Tim to be used in the root canal REF 2246
– It is dual-cured and works with all light-, self- or dual-cured resins– It works in a self-cured mode without any light – great for endo– It takes only 35 sec. from start to finish– It needs only one coat
Whatever generation you call Futurabond DC, it will replace all of your existing bonding systems.

The highly functionalized SiO2 nano particles (Ø 20 nm) in Futurabond DC (DC=dual-cured) facilitate a cross-link of the resin components and enhance its film-building properties. Thus, the adhesive can optimally wet the exposed collagen fibers and micro-retentive etching pattern on the enamel. Nano particles reinforce the hybrid layer for a long lasting high bond strength. One-coat application of Futurabond DC is sufficient to
guarantee a permanently stable bond of the composite to the tooth.Futurabond DC’s consistency ensures a “Stick Imme-diately Effect” which guarantees that the bond will not be blown out of the cavity while air drying. A combined stress breaking area and hybrid layer of 9 microns is created. This ensures a superior marginal integrity and protection against sensitivities.

Futurabond DC can be used in the light cured mode for all your direct restoration. The self-cured or dualcu-red mode allows the bonding of self-or dual-cured core build-up materials as well as resin cements without prior light curing of the adhesive layer. This is often a declining factor when working in areas that are difficult
or impossible to reach with light, e.g. cementation of pins and posts. This makes Futurabond DC excellent suited for endodontic use. Futurabond DC can be your only bonding agent for all procedures and will help you to keep your inventory down and makes staff training easier.

Futurabond DC’s Single Dose System requires the least amount of steps making this one of the quickest materials on the market today. Less steps means a less technique sensitive procedure and easier training of dental assistants.

VOCO engineers have been working for more than 6 years to develop a delivery system that is quick and easy to use, but also safe and reliable to guarantee state of the art bonding quality. VOCO’s new patented Single Dose System prevents solvent evaporation; a
common problem in a variety of other bonding systems. This ensures reliable bond strength each use. The one-step activation blisters will not spill in any position. A new Single Dose application for every patient prevents any concerns regarding contamination.

On fresh cut enamel an infiltration of the bond takes place simultaneously to the etching process. There is no risk of contamination or destruction of the etching pattern. On dentin, Futurabond DC dissolves the smear layer with special hydrophilic and acidic components. This demineralizes and infiltrates the collagen net and dentin tubules. Futurabond DC achieves outstanding shear bond strength on dentin and enamel. The micro-
tensile bond strength of Futurabond DC on dentin is 35.6 MPa. Consequently, it reaches the same high bond strength values of leading total-etch systems, yet it is faster and less technique sensitive. In the self-cured mode Futurabond DC achieves signi-ficantly higher bond strength than other leading brands.

Compared to total etch bond systems, self etch bonds like Futurabond DC, are less technique sensitive and more forgiving. Therefore, this leads to more consis-tent results. Self etch systems eliminate the risk of over drying or over-etching on dentin. Futurabond DC works in dry, moist and wet environments with simi-lar reliable results. It contains a stable chemistry and does not require refrigeration or shaking before use as required by some other self etch adhesives.
Futurabond DC cures with all common light sources – halogen, LED, or plasma.
The Dental Advisor evaluated Futurabond DC. 18 Cli-nicians used the material in over 370 cases. No post-operative sensitivity nor negative comments regardingeffects on soft tissue were noted.
