Real time knowledge managementBrief description of the idea
The idea of this tool is to innovate in the field of Knowledge Management, developing a
software tool that makes knowledge flow into an organization, connecting people and creating
synergy between different areas. This idea would be supported by a software tool where any
employee can post a question, and that question will be routed only to those employees that
have knowledge to answer. This intelligent routing would be supported by text-mining
algorithms. To let the knowledge flow rapidly throw the organization, this tool will provide

algorithms. To let the knowledge flow rapidly throw the organization, this tool will provide
multiple-channel notifications such as chat, email, social networks, sms. This multi-channel
strategy would lower down response times.
This tool will not only exposes the formal knowledge, but also distributes the empirical
knowledge, decreasing learning curves and increasing productivity of its users. Moreover, the
diversity of the community allows their questions are viewed from a multidisciplinary
approach.
Technology Area: NESSI
Research Topic: Adaptive Interactions: Knowledge- and situational-driven personalization of
interfaces and services. In addition: social networks, text-mining.
Objective: The aim of this project is to develop this real time knowledge management
tool capable of routing questions to connect needs with solutions, people and different
areas.
Scope (application areas): This tool is ideal for any organization that makes knowledge
it’s principal asset. Many verticals are suitable, such as universities, labs, or service

Brief description of the idea
We are looking forward to develop a software tool capable of recognising who are
actually people with valuable knowledge (also influencers) in digital media (wikis, forums,
discussion lists, social networks, and more).
Applying text-mining techniques, this tool could determine authorities any topic,
differentiating them from others that seem to know because they only talk a lot.

Inside an organization: The objective is to save money throw automatic knowledge
extraction in people’s discussions. In this way, this tool could provide useful information
regarding who knows what giving guaranties that is recognised by a community. The tool
will provide also a way to explore this knowledge in a easy way.
Outside an organization: This tool will provide a mean to analyse discussions over
internet so as to analyse hot topics, trademark or product’s mass opinion and who are
influencing opinions. Identifying these people can be very important when taking care of
an image of a company or product in the market.
Duration: 36 months.

F Apply the highest standards of integrity and excellence to all of our practicesand relationships. Intelligent Systems for Transport, based on the interactionamong informatics, telecommunications and combined use of media, enable toface in an innovative way the problems tied to public and private mobility, developing in an organic and functional manner, solutions oriented to safety, efficiency, effectiveness, inexpensiveness and environmentally friendly.Actually, the constant evolution in the sector of the technologic development, allows to manage in an “intelligent” way the transport system in its totality andto face all the different needs from operators and users of public and privatetransport.
F Business interests:F Encourage the development of policies for the use technologies for transport.F Promote research and studies of ITS technologies. Be an exchange of experiences andtraining with other national or foreign companies. Foment training programs in Argentina andabroad on matters related to ITS.

change, have been understood for decades, and one of the benefits ofsensing technologies might be to locate high emitters of pollutants. Themore general question, however, is whether ITS would be a plus or a minusfor the environment. Here are the competing points of view (in headlineform): 1) ITS can smooth traffic flow, thereby reducing stop-and-go driving,
which has a deleterious effect on air quality. 2)By adding capacity to the
transportation network, ITS will induce demand and therefore “add
innovation to the traffic stream.
F Technology Area: ITS cross all the Future Internet technology areas.
F Objective: To create a net for test and Recommendations for future R&D in order tocross the European Agenda and the ITS Eurpean Action Plan, in their six priority areas:optimal use of road, traffic and travel data; continuity of traffic and freight managementITS services in European transport corridors and conurbations; road safety andsecurity; integration of the vehicle into the transport infrastructure; data security andprotection, and liability issues; European ITS cooperation and coordination.
F Scope: Standarization of Communications Protocols/ Green Cars/ New sensors forSafety & Security/ Service providers to generate the information needed for the service
Elevator Pitch: ITS Argentina

Automotive equipment suppliers
to develop the onboard systems needed for the service (for example integrated radio,GPS and GSM equipment) . Automotive manufacturers, which specify, integrate andmarket the new services and onboard equipments.Software companies and other
equipment manufacturers. Governamental Agencies of ITS for Megacities and small
events, ITS for Public Transport and Traffic Control, parking and Travelling Information
and ITS for Urban and Interurban Highways.
F Duration: 36 months.
F Expected Impact: The ITS market is very segmented with many different actorsbelonging to different market segments (vehicle makers, OEM´s, telematics, ICT,telecommunications) with different dynamics. A cooperative approach has to be adoptedin order to identify suitable business models that have to be supported by establishedstandards and Argentinean policies. Support cities and their main partners to promotethe deployment of ITS in urban areas. Work on exchanging best practice and toelaborate guidelines for key applications in urban areas. Linking the vehicle with thetransport Infrastructure. Accurate Public Data for Digital Maps. Study on interoperabilityof smart ticketing. Elaborate guidelines for the key applications (specific regard to

interoperability and continuity). Identify the need for further standardisation.
F Potential of ITS for road transportF Reduction of congestion by 5-15% (dynamic traffic & freight management,
dynamic navigation, electronic toll collection)F 5-15% less fatalities and 5-10% less injuries (electronic stability control (ESC),
lane keeping support, speed alert, emergency call (eCall)F Possible savings of 10-20% CO2 emissions (road charging, access
management, eco-driving support, multi-modality
