SMITH CONTRACTING / JOHN HOLLAND CPB JOINT VENTURE (JHCPB) | WESTCONNEX 3B ROZELLE INTERCHANGE | BALMAIN TRUNK SEWER REALIGNMENT • As part of the Westconnex 3B Rozelle Interchange, our client RA Smith Contracting undertook

the Balmain Trunk Sewer Realignment. This work involved the excavated of deep manhole launch and receival pits. The pits typically had a shallow soil profile over sandstone bedrock. Manyu undertook regular excavation/rock stability inspections as part of an ITP prepared by Alliance Geotechnical. This included assessments of excavated rock faces, defect mapping, and recommending surface treatments for potentially unstable sections.

DIONA | AUSGRID EASTERN CBD CABLE PROJECT | NSW

• The project involved of laying new underground 11,000-volt cables along Macquarie Street, College St and Wentworth Avenue in Sydney’s CBD. The construction works included trenching, installing conduits and cables. Manyu was responsible for trench excavation stability assessments, pit stability certifications and bearing capacity assessments.

SD GROUP | ALFORDS POINT ROAD NOISE WALL INSTALLATION

• This project involved drilling of 65 piles for the installation of noise-wall panels along a 500m stretch of Alfords Point Road in Menai. Manyu was responsible for the geotechnical verification of the piling works, which involved identifying rock socket and foundation materials for piling works and confirming bearing capacities piling rig platforms. Throughout the project other geotechnical assessments such as piling platform stability assessments and crane lifts were also undertaken as required by the client. Manyu understood the importance of communicating clearly and effectively with all parties to ensure the best result for the client.

ACCIONA | SYDNEY LIGHT RAIL CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES | MOORE PARK NSW • The project involved the construction of the new tracks, relocation and upgrading of

underground services, new stops, a tunnel through Moore Park and underground structures for the Moore Park Stop. • As part of AG’s team, Manyu carried out geotechnical inspections, piling platform certification, smart pole pile inspections etc. He was responsible for a wide range of geotechnical inspections, advice and assisted with the design of temporary works for the construction of excavation shoring and excavations.

EXPERIENCE

MMA CIVIL | NORTHWEST RAIL LINK & BARANGAROO STATION

• On the Northwest Rail link project, Manyu has been involved in assessing temporary excavation stability within clay soils and bearing capacity assessments at bases of man holes and piers. With Manyu’s expertise in temporary excavation stability assessments, on the Barangaroo station works he identified potential risks with an open trench within sandstone bedrock and provided remedial recommendations onsite to enable our client to carry out the works as required with reduced risk to personnel and equipment.

PRECISION PIPE NETWORKS FOR VEOLIA | NORTHWEST GROWTH CENTRE (BOX HILL LEAD-IN) • Manyu has been the primary point of contact for most of the construction phase of

geotechnical works on the Box Hill Lead-in providing recommendations on extensive temporary works and small-under-bore launch and receiver pits assessment.
