Pssst. Filipino way of calling ones attention quickly. A not so gentle way. But youll get used to it. Although being called by ones name is sweeter, in time youll get used to hearing psst, which means/commands look here.

Hoy. Another way of calling ones attention. The use of this can range from being rough to being fun depending on the person to whom it is addressed as well as the situation where it is being used, when addressed to a tresspasser/ violator this serves an angry note from the person using it. When addressed to a friend during jokes to stress a point, or to call a friends attention, its okay. Its counterpart/ equivalent in English is Hey.

Ex. Hoy! Ayaw hilabti akong bag! (Angry)

( Hey, dont mess with my bag!)

Hoy,Jessa,kumusta naman ka ? (Friendly casual talk)

Hey, Jessa, how are you doing.

Hahay. Its counterpart or equivalent in English is sigh. It means something is regrettabe, or a person is not feeling satisfied or feeling off, down, bored or sad.

Pastilan. Its equivalen in English is My Goodness, it is usually uttered when someone disapproves of something, angry or not.

Way Klaro. It is a phrase. Transaltion: WALA -means no

Klaro- means clear (literal)

It is a phrase that through popular usage have become an expression when a person finds irrelevancy, inconsistency, or misleading directions, or information.
