9 Major Characteristics: 1. The only international mathematics competition holds the Final in Hong Kong every year. 2. GMEC is organized by First Education Group with Art of Problem Solving of USA, Chinese Mathematics Association of Taiwan, Singapore International Math Contests Centre and International Mathematical Association. 3. The competition questions are designed by the mathematics competition organizations in the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore and Hong Kong. Contestants can experience the international mathematical culture. 4. The competition is divided into a mathematics group and an Olympic mathematics group. Contestants can showcase their talents in mathematics. 5. The competition grades range from kindergarten to high schools, covering all grades. 6. The First Place winner of each grade will receive a letter of recommendation from the organizer and co-organizers.
7. The First place winner in each participating region will have an opportunity to speak with the mathematics professor at the GMEC Mathematics Elite Gala. 8. The World's First place winner will receive a full-fee scholarship to participate in the AoPS summer training camp. 9. The World's Second and Third place winner will receive a full-fee scholarship to participate in Taiwan Mathematics Elite Training Camp. - Grade 1-12 # contestant's competition aged is determined by their age on Aug 8, 2020 * Questions are in English and Chinese languages. * There are Multiple Choice and Fill in the Blank questions. * Each contestant will receive a copy of the 2019 papers after registration. The papers will be sent out on Friday.
