Clip of my Event

Impacts My Event had on others I was excited and curios about Kayla’s Senior Project how it was going to be because in Germany we

don’t have Gospel music, or at least I haven’t heard it yet. I just knew the boring songs in the church’s book, which were all kind of similar. By the time the choir started to sing I realized that Gospel music is definitely anything but boring! The people in the choir were singing with passion and love what is in my opinion much better than the boring German songs from the church because it really expresses passion and love for God! And after a while I couldn’t resist any longer and I had to stand up and clap my hands to the beat because it was just so moving, in mentally sense as in physically sense! I was really impressed because it was suddenly fun to hear this kind of music (I mean music you sing in the church) and to participate by absorbing the music into your head. And for the first time I really want to go to the church because I feel like gospel music honors God more than the normal boring church music!

Directly, during the fist song, singing by Kayla herself you could feel this spirit going around in the Ross Court Theatre. From song to song I enjoyed it more and more and started to feel the rhythm and started also to clap my hands to this inspiring songs, as the entire audience did already. This mix between expressive but sensitive music offered lots of fun and everything was really amusing. I was kind of sad when the “show” was over, but I am sure that I want to experience that again. You could see how much work Kayla put into that lovely concert and still in the next morning I had these religious inspiring and just good music in my mind.
