This fast-paced and complex project, currently under construction, will bring 45,000sf of gourmet Italian food retail and dining to Boston’s Back Bay. Scope includes a large first and second floor fit-out, a third floor restaurant addition, a new mall storefront and a 3-story exterior facade.
The challenge of this project comes from the massive coordination effort between all MEP trades, structure, kitchen vendors, Italian millworkers, the base building design team and municipal organizations.
Involvement in this ongoing project includes all phases of design, coordination and construction and taking a larger role as a project designer and manager.
Eataly Wine Shop & Eataly Nutella BarNew York, NYSTUDIOS architecture2014-2015
These 2 small projects at the existing Eataly in New York City looked to expand product offerings. The Nutella Bar was a repurposing of an existing Eataly space. The Wine Shop was a new fit-out of an adjacent space.

STUDIOS was contracted to design the amenity spaces for this high end apartment development. A bold focus on rich materials and interesting lighting drove this design. Spaces included the main lobby with leasing office, a lounge, a dining area with pantry, a gym with a yoga studio and a rooftop clubhouse.
Involvement with this project included assisting the design team through SD and the production of the DD and CD drawing sets.
United Nations FoundationWashington, DCSTUDIOS architecture2013-2014
This interior office fit-out for United Nations Foundation in downtown Washington focused on connecting individuals through open architecture. The main architectural move carved an atrium through 3 floors of the main circulation spaces, connecting them with a monumental stair.
Involvement with this project began in early CA with the coordination of outstanding design items and the production of necessary drawings. Involvement continued through punch list.

The project spans over 5 city blocks with 3 large apartment buildings and 19 townhomes. A single story parking garage sits below grade along Western Ave. Park space and a redesigned streetscape will enhance the former derelict site and bring a greater sense of community pride to the area.

Graduate Thesis ProjectSelf Storage Intervention:Wind Farm HybridNortheastern UniversitySpring 2010
Wind power generation can be enhanced by hybridizing the wind farm form with strategically shaped and placed buildings.
These buildings act to catch, direct and accelerate wind currents. The self storage program is one that is adaptable to any footprint and apolitical enough to be placed within almost any context. Additionally, self storage makes for a cheap yet profitable placeholder-tenant. This allows construction to begin prior to locking in serious tenants.
The intervention as a whole acts to invigorate the industrial banks of the Mystic River with a waterfront park and boardwalk peppered with amenities. This park will compliment the upcoming Assembly Square shopping development and T Stop across the river.

This is the final project of my undergraduate educa-tion. Working in teams of two, most aspects of real-life architectural design and building construction were touched upon and resolved.
The project considered site impact, material choice, user needs and relationships, the user and public experience, structure and loads, circu-lation, ventilation, heating and cooling, fire protection, accessibility, local sun and wind patterns and the con-struction sequence.
Our responsibility as the designers was to utilize in-telligent integrated design as much as possible. This included hydronic coils within the floor slabs, geo-thermal wells imbedded in the ground piles, an external shading system on the fa-cade, natural ventilation, and strategically placed thermal masses and reflective sur-faces.
The design promotes col-legiality among a variety of user groups including the public. The large atrium and open floor plans create a web of visual connections that will foster a sense of unity for the BSA.
The building becomes a vital element for the surround-ing site with its grand public stair and urban balcony, con-necting the upper Summer Street to the lower devel-oping Seaport District.

Kitchen redesigned as open concept with a transitional aesthetic. This was achieved by removing walls and mixing contemporary appliances, lighting and tile work with traditional millwork and moldings.
