C. Reason

(1) Therehavebeensporadicreportsofbladeflutterduringlandingwhileusingpropellerreversing.Aninvestigationidentifiedagreaterlikelihoodforthisoccurrencewithbladesnearingdimensionalminimums.

(a) Thissameoccurrenceofbladeflutterisalsopossiblewithbladesnearoriginalmanufacturingspecifications.

(b) Thisconditioncancausecrackedand/orfailedblades.RefertoFigure1.
